Globe Metales, S.A. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Globe Specialty Metals Inc. (Nasdaq: GSM), a major producer of silicon metal and specialty alloys. At Globe Metales we produce Ultracore© Brand steelmaking alloys, foundry alloys and alloy cored wire in our manufacturing plants at Luján de Cuyo in Mendoza province Argentina and at Villa Mercedes in San Luis province. Our sister company Ultracore Polska, located in Police in northern Poland, produces alloy cored wire for the European steel and foundry industries.

Our products are critical inputs in the manufacture of a wide range of industrial and consumer products with growing markets. Our customers include steel manufacturers, the global auto industry, industrial pipe manufacturers, ductile iron foundries and concrete producers.

Globe Metales was founded in 1965 as Stein Ferroaleaciones, S.A. Today we are among the world's major suppliers of Calcium Silicon and other alloys, exporting, to six continents, over 80% of our production. We became part of Globe Specialty Metals in November 2006.
