Jiangsu Province based Chinese steel producer Lianxin Iron and Steel Co has ignited its furnace for the production of nickel added stainless steel in Dafeng Port Economic Zone, Yancheng, representing the completion of the first stage of the company's nickel added stainless steel project
The designed annual production capacity of the whole project is 500,000 tonnes of nickel added stainless steel. The overall facilities will include a sintering shop, a 1,080 cubic meter blast furnace, a 120 tonnes converter, an air separation unit and a 220 KV transformer substation. The facilities will form a modern production line integrating sintering, melting, fining, con casting and tandem rolling processes, turning nickel chromium pig iron into stainless steel.
The new facility will adopt various eco friendly technologies including dust collection, energy saving, and residual heat and waste utilization.
