Purchase of Brazilian Steel Distributors up by 0.2%

[Ferro-Alloys.com] Brazilian steel distributors’ purchase increased by 0.2% in January, compared to the same month last year.
 
According to National Institute of Steel Distributors (INDA), the purchases in this January totaled at 373,700 tons, advanced 14.9% from last December.
 
The sales of steel distribution network increased by 10.7% in January compared to the same month in 2013, totaled at 408,200 tons. In comparison with the previous month, the increase was 17.7%.
 
With such performance, inventory turnover in January fell to 2.5 months compared to 3 months in December.
