The Indian government said on Tuesday that the country's coal production increased 29 percent year-on-year to 66.58 Million Ton (MT) in April amid a power shortage due to lesser stocks of coal available at thermal power plants.

Vietnam spent around 4 billion U.S. dollars importing more than 3.8 million tons of steel and iron in the first four months of this year.

Among them, 43681.90 tons of ferrosilicon were imported from China, 3683 tons from Russia, 2956.3 tons from Malaysia and 1463 tons from Vietnam.
