In recent week the FeSi price in Chinese market was stable. As the operating rate of FeSi was low,the producers expected the price would bottom out due to the reduced supply. Now the FeSi75# and 72# was quoted at RMB4950/mt and RMB4650/mt respectively.

[Ferro-Alloys.com]According to the latest statistics of Korea Customs, Korea’s FeSi import volume was 23,479 mt in April 2015, slightly up by 4.1% M-O-M(22,539mt) and down by 16.2% Y-O-Y(28,028mt).

FeSi export price began to slip since Q2, 2014, and maintained the previous condition by late May 2015. Nowadays FeSi 75# was quoted at around USD1,240-1,250/mt(FOB Tianjin port) as the floor level during the recent 5 years.

From mid Oct 2014, domestic FeSi market experienced a ongoing slump. In May 2015, Hebei Iron & Steel Group’s 72# bidding price further declined to RMB5,100/mt, shrinking almost RMB750/mt compared to last year.

In recent week the ferrosilicon price turned weaker as FeSi75% was offered at RMB4900-5000/mt and FeSi72# was RMB4600-4700/mt, which down by RMB50/mt than last week. Of the top five producers in China
